Today I head into the gyno for my first exam since I was 19. My 30th is in March, so as you can tell, I'm not a fan of going to the doctor.
After years of physicals, eye exams, & dentist visits, once I turned a certain age, I was relieved that no one was making me go anymore.
At that same time, I decided it was time to take full responsibility for my wellbeing. Although I was in school to be a personal trainer, I was also dealing with bulimia and depression. I felt like a total hypocrite.
So I weaned myself off my anti-depressants, started learning about yoga, spent more time in nature reflecting, writing, getting to understand myself and why I do the things I do!
And cannabis was helpful, so helpful in this process. Quieting my mind so I could listen to my soul speak (in a nutshell, lol), But before I could hear those whispers, I had to clear allllllllll the muck that silenced my voice.
My mental muck was heavy, stinky, and just plain dirty. How it got that lousy idk but I think it just needed a more frequent cleaning!
So some days, my mental housekeeping would be to smoke and clean lol On other days, it's get up early af and go for a delicious jog, and most recently, it's been to try new things outside my movement box (snorkeling, gymnastics, THE GYM lol)
Now, almost 11 years later, it's a pleasure to take care of my mental, physical, emotional, and spiritual health! Finally, after years of studying myself and being so rigid with my upkeep, I've built a trusting system within.
I'm blessed I get to take such good care of me and that I've taught myself to do so.
